The papers contain letters addressed to Sir Charles Pym from relatives, tenants and associates. Letters from his sisters report family news, including the the birth of Narcissus Luttrell and the purchase of a pair of virginals; the business letters detail routine estate and lease matters. Two memoranda by Pym concern regulations for the troop of horse he commanded during the Civil War and the proceedings in the Convention Parliament (1660).
The collection also contains a leasehold agreement signed by John Pym and a contract for a pew in Cannington Church signed by Sir Thomas Pym Hales (1763).
