Biographical / Historical Note
James Pierpont, Congregational clergyman, was one of the founders and original trustees of Yale College. He and Mary Hooker were married in 1698.
Summary
Deed, autograph manuscript written in an unidentified hand, signed by James and Mary Pierpont. The deed conveys to Samuel Alling "two certain parcels of wilderness land ... lying and being situate in New Haven ... a little to the northward of Dormand's farm ...."
