Summary
Photograph album recording a trip taken by Albert Kraefft and a man named Hans. Photographs depict A. Herman's collection of Indian artifacts in Dubuque, Iowa, including the skeleton of Peosta, Fox Indian chief, scenes on board a Mississippi steamboat featuring African-Americans boxing, racing to dig money out of a box of flour, and participating in a pie-eating contest. There are scenes from a ranch in Montana, a camping trip in Wyoming, views of Yellowstone National Park, and views from the Columbia River. Views in California include the Sutro Baths in San Francisco, the mission at Santa Barbara, and a football game between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara.
