Contains 32 articles by Richard Ford from the Edinburgh Review and the Quarterly Reviews, dealing with Spanish subjects. Most are removed from the periodicals and pieced together with extensive pasteovers to provide continuity. The first article is an offprint, with separate t.p.: An historical enquiry into the unchangeable character of a war in Spain. London : John Murray, 1837. Some oversized leaves are folded.
Title page gives dates 1836-1851; articles have publication or hand-written dates through 1857.
