Summary
The collection consists of four separate manuscripts compiled on one reel. Included are: "A General Report Concerning the State of His Majesty's Plantations on the Continent of America Ye 8th. Sept. 1721"; "Details of American and Canadian ships Built and Building on the Great Lakes," 1862, by James S. McCraig; the Thomas Wentworth Higginson papers, 1855-1907; and the diary (1868), family records, and clippings of Robert Newell, one of the early political leaders of Oregon.
