Summary
Manuscript, in a single hand, of an album containing an elaborately lettered poetic fable about a boy who loses, and then finds, his pet peacock. Details include the boy's discovery of the empty cage; his forlorn breakfast with his parents; the ensuing search; and the peacock's miraculous return in answer to the boy's prayer. Each page is decorated with an elaborate border.
