Summary
Manuscript, in a single hand, of a collection of about 25 poems, 12 in Latin and the rest in English. The Latin poems concern religious subjects, with titles such as Petri post Gallicinium poenitentia; Pharaonis exercitus mari obrutus; and Conjuratio papistica. The subjects of the English poems are more varied, containing not only religious but also satirical and classical themes. Titles include Paraphrase upon the 68th psalm; To old Mrs Betty C-; The Popish conspiracy; and The third idyllium of Bion, imitated. A number of the poems are followed by small drawings.
