Summary
Manuscript, in a single hand, of ten birthday poems, five addressed to Stella and five to Athenia. The first poem to Stella makes reference to Jonathan Swift's poetry to Stella, whereby the author announces his intention to follow Swift in his own birthday addresses to Stella. The poems praise the women's morals; discuss the effects of aging and the importance of character over physical beauty, and encourage their readers to follow God. One poem alludes to Stella's desire to become a nun.
