Summary
Manuscript, in a single hand, of a copy of a journal, supposedly documenting the young author's voyage from Paris to Saint-Cloud. The author describes lengthy preparations; farewells to his mohter, neighbors, and pets; his fear of other river boats, which he takes to be "Algerine galleys;" his visit with his family's friends in Saint-Cloud and his fear of a thunderstorm while there. Prefaced by an introduction.
