Summary
Explores attitudes among educated Indian couples, asking them how they met and married their spouses. In India marriages are a family matter often arranged to improve the social standing of the family. This documentary makes a visit to a marriage bureau, where earnest parents look over the qualifications of potential mates for their children; education, caste, religion, profession and physical attribues all figure in the equation.
