Summary
Ramesh, a young and struggling lawyer falls in love with Shanti, the daughter of Digambarnath. After a quarral between Shanti and Ramesh, father and daughter move out of the apartment building. Ramesh disguises himself as an old man so he can rent part of the new house that Digambarnath and Shanti move into. Prakash, the rogue son-in-law of Digambarnath comes to town with his wife and starts harrassing the family. Chanchal, the wife of Dayal, a wealthy and renowned laywer of the city, falls in love with Ramesh. Relationships between relatives and friends become increasingly strained and result in a murder that Shanti is accussed of committing.
