Advertised in the Pennsylvania journal for Feb. 14, 1776.
Some copies were printed by Steiner and Cist; others by Benjamin Towne. Those printed by Steiner and Cist have type ornaments above and below half-title; those printed by Towne have plain rules. Cf. Three states of the Towne printing noted by Gimbel. The first (CS-11) has an "Erata" statement on p. [6], correcting an error on p. 41; p. 45 is numbered. In the second state (CS-12), the error on p. 41 has been corrected and the errata statement deleted; p. 45 is numbered. In the third state (CS-13), the error on p. 41 has been corrected and the errata statement deleted; p. 45 is not numbered.
