Summary
Material includes number XIII in a limited edition of Desnos' É́́tat de veille (Paris: "Pour mes Amis" III, 1943), printed for "Monsieur Gisler," a holograph manuscript draft of the poem "Histoire d'un taureau," and original engravings and drawings by Gaston-Louis Roux. The manuscript draft of "Histoire d'un taureau," corrected and undated, is dated 1936 in the printed edition. The printed edition is illustrated with ten engravings by Roux and the volume, bound by Mercher, includes an additional set of the ten engravings, five rejected (refusées) engravings, and one sheet with pen and ink and pencil drawings by Roux.
