Summary
Four months after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, a group of American flyers take part in the first U.S. air retaliation attack against Japan and crash-land into history's most astounding prisoner-of-war story. The "Doolittle Raiders" are put on trial in a Japanese civil court, not as P.O.W.s, but as criminals charged with murder. As this travesty of justice proceeds, the airmen realize that their only hope of avoiding execution is to reveal to their enemy captors the top-secret details of their flight to Japan: a choice between death and and betrayal of country.
