Parentheses substituted for square brackets in title transcription.
The second article, "General Butler's financial views," is signed W.E. [i.e., William Elder] Oct. 4, 1867.
Another letter entitled "General Butler's financial views" responds to a letter by Butler which appeared in the Oct. 19, 1867, issue of the Boston daily advertiser, and was included in the second broadside in this series.
