Summary
Manuscript volume containing exercises and examples for the study of surveying, bookeeping methods, and navigation. The section on bookkeeping offers explanations of both single and double entry bookkeeping and contains examples of the account forms associated with each, including daybooks, journals, ledgers, and cashbooks in various formats. The navigation portion opens with a hand-colored mariner's compass and proceeds through problem sets in plane and traverse sailing. The volume also contains a list of "Proper Books to Pursue on the Mathematics" with prices and a calligraphically decorated title page.
