Summary
The 5 part datasets are part of an ongoing data collection effort in which The New York Times and CBS News are equal partners. They are designed to ascertain evaluations of the U.S. public's response to the Reagan presidency. Attitudes about the economy, federal budget and taxation, Iranian hostage agreement, racial integration, El Salvador, Poland,political party differences, family finances, social security, crime, environmental issues, foreign policy influences, as well as personal demographic characteristics were surveyed.
