"Provisional"--Front cover sheet.

Documents contain verbatim records of individual meetings and are identified by U.N. symbols beginning with S/PV., followed by the meeting number, e.g. the provisional record covering the 3988th meeting bears the document symbol S/PV.3988.

Documents contain the original text of speeches delivered in English and interpretations of speeches delivered in the other languages. The final text is eventually printed in the Official records of the Security Council, bearing the same document symbol as the provisional text.

Resumptions of suspended meetings are covered by individual records symbolled S/PV.[meeting number](Resumption 1, 2, etc.), e.g. S/PV.4049 (Resumption 2).
