The paper for the fold-out cover was made in Tuscaloosa, AL at the Lost Arch Paper Mill by Drew Matott. The prints for the cover were made by Margaret Mahan using silkscreen and monoprinting at Sara Marshall's printshop, University of Alabama. The silkscreened text was generated by UA students, in a Combat Paper writing exercise. The book was printed using electrostatic printmaking on commercial hemp papers, and bound by the artist in Cape Cod, MA. The text for the poems was generated by Margaret Mahan in response to her travels with the Combat Paper Project. The first line of poem III is attributed to Garrett Reppenhagen as it appeared in his poem 'Dirt' -- Colophon.
