Notes
Script: Written by Franciscus de Traversagnis in a very neat humanistic cursive, small throughout and often minute. A few marginalia by a 16th-century Italian hand which supplied a heading on f. 80v.
Rubricated and with plain, red capitals throughout except in the last 6 ff.
Binding: Nineteenth century. Marbled paper boards with diced calf back, the backstrip in compartments with horizontal gilt fillets, lines of gilt dots on the false bands, title in one compartment in gilt, "TRACTATUS | DE | ELIXIR". Early, probably original green edges.
In Latin.
