Privilegia fidelissimae civitatis Neapolis, which precedes the main work, has a separate title-page and was printed by Sultzbach in 1536, the year of Charles' V. entry into Naples. It is a petition for the enactment of privileges for the city which were consequently granted and printed in 1543. The petition also forms part ot the main work (folios 138-147)
