Latin text and English translation.
"This volume was suggested by and has been modelled on Maitland's work on Bracton's Note book ... With the exception of a few of the pleas of the crown heard at Worcester, the cases which Bracton marked in the rolls contained in this volume have never yet appeared in print, as the quires on which they were presumably copied are missing from the Note book ... In this edition any words written by Bracton himself upon the rolls are printed in Clarendon type. The cases marked by him are distinguished by a marginal line and Clarendon type is used for the first words of the case and of its translation." cf. Pref.
