Manuscript on paper, in a single italic hand, of about 63 poems and songs primarily on love, but also a containing a few satirical entries on religious and political subjects, as well as some occasional verse, including one On the Death of my Lord Francis Villiers and another Upon The Funerall of Mrs Pawleys Daughter. Other entries include a poem about "the purified sect" which encourages them "to goe to new England, To build new babels, strong and sure... So shall our church cleansd and made pure, Keep both it self and state secure"; and a song called The Roundheads Race.
