Includes two Latin editions of Ammianus Marcellinus' Res Gestae (edited by Clark (1910) and Seyfarth (1978)), a history of Rome from Emperor Nerva (96 CE) to the death of Emperor Valens (378 CE), as well as philological and historical commentaries by P. de Jonge, Jan den Boeft, Daniël den Hengst, Hans C. Teitler and, Jan Willem Drijvers. The text and commentary only include books 14-31, as books 1-13 of Ammianus Marcellinus' history are presumed lost.
