-
Marriage contract, manuscript, ink on vellum, dated the 6th of Adar 5545 at Firentsi (1785). A rectangular ketubah with a rounded top. Biblical verses surround the text and there are repeated statements expressing the wish that God bless the bride and groom as he blessed the patriarchs and matriarchs. There is a seal of the city above the text. The ink is faded. In addition to the signatures of the two witnesses, the grooms signature also appears on the opposite side of the document. There is a note in Italian at the bottom that affirms that the ketubah was registered in the communitys book page 52, by the registrar Raffael Calo on March 15th, 1785.
