Script: gothic textualis.
Decoration: 11 full floral decorative pages. Several multi-line red and blue initials on a gold background; two-line gold initials on a blue and red background throughout. Rubricated throughout.
Binding: 19th-century blind-tooled brown leather binding over pasteboard. Spine label: 6. Marbled paper pastedowns and endleaves.
In Latin and Middle French.

Modern handwritten note tipped in: Heurs a l'usage de Paris. / Calendrier Parisien, avec saints pour tous les jours de l'annee... Formerly owned by Otto F. Ege (Ege 6.1999). His bookplate with TR 12333 and no. 6 below. Manuscript volume was on deposit with the Cleveland Museum of Art (CMA); inventory number on front flyleaf: TR 12333/6. Purchased from John M. Freudenheim, Tom Freudenheim, Jo Freudenheim, Susan Core, Richard Core, and Michael Frisch, via JSJT Holdings, LLC, 2015-2018, with Edwin J. Beinecke Book Fund, Herman W. Contains: calendar in Middle French (ff. 2r-13v), Gospel lessons (ff. 14r-19v), Obsecro te and O intemerata (ff. 20r-27r), Doulx dieu, doulx pere (ff. 28r-29v), Hours of the Virgin (ff. 30r-46v), Suffrages of St. Nicolas and St. Catherine (ff. 47-48r), (ff. 48v-63v), Penitential psalms (ff. 64r-74v), Litanies (ff. 74v-78v), Hours of the Cross (ff. 79r-80v), Hours of the Holy Spirit (81r-83v), Hours of the Virgin (ff. 84r-85v), Seven requests of our Lord in Middle French (ff. 86r-92v), Office for the dead and collection of prayers for the dead (ff. 93r-121r). Incomplete: several opening and closing folios missing.
