Three-sided borders for minor Hours in Hours of the Virgin. Multi-line flourished and dentelle initials throughout accompanied by similar line-fillers. Ruled in diluted red ink.
Binding: gold-tooled brown leather. Clasps wanting.

Percy family armorial bookplate (crescent with double manacle): “Honi soit qui mal y pense.” Formerly owned by Otto F. Ege (Ege 278.1983). On front pastedown: red leather label with 503 stamped in gold. Inscriptions on flyleaf ir: “#88”; Mrs. Ege’s description: “France B of H / 1460 / use of Dol;” No. 503; and 388 circled. Manuscript volume was on deposit with the Cleveland Museum of Art (CMA); inventory number label on front flyleaf: TR12828/57. Purchased from John M.
