Summary
In this criminal justice documentary, teenager Morris is brought into detention after cops find him smoking weed outside of an apartment building. Turns out Morris also had an outstanding bench warrant for not appearing at a previous court hearing. This exclusive documentary shows what life inside is really like for juveniles who are arrested and must spend time in detention, as well as go before a judge to learn their fate. This documentary traces Morris's story from the night police brought him into detention in handcuffs, to his emotional visit with his mom, to two juvenile court hearings where Morris testifies on the stand. Morris also has to listen to his mom as she testifies about his behavior at home and what she thinks is best for Morris. Originally filmed in 2008, the program features a 2023 update at the end of the video.
