Cameron C. Burns traveled from Juneau to the Yukon, Alaska in 1896 and from Juneau to Seattle, Washington in 1897.
Summary
Two typed letters, carbon copies, from Cameron C. Burns to "Mother" and "Father." In the first letter, 1896 November 10, written from Circle City, Alaska, Burns describes his journey from Juneau to the Yukon, Alaska, including supplies required for the trip. The letter also includes a manuscript map of mining camps in the Yukon and a drawing of a sled. In the second letter, 1897 February 17, written from the Steamer Al-ki, Burns describes his trip to Juneau and his gold claims in the Yukon. The letter also includes two manuscript maps of rivers in the Yukon.
