Ḥaddathanā Muḥammad ibn Sallām, akhbaranā Mukhlid ibn Yazīd, qāl, anbaʼanā Ibn Jurayj, qāl, [akhbaranī ʻAṭāʼ ʻan ʻUbayd] ibn ʻUmayr anna Abā Mūsá al-Ashʻarī istaʼdhana ʻannī ʻUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb, raḍiya Allāh ʻanhu, fa-lam yuʼdhin la-hu, wa-ka-annahu kāna mashghūlan, fa-rajiʻa Abū Mūsá, fa-farigha ʻUmar, raḍiya Allāh ʻanhu, fa-qāl: A-lam asmaʻ ṣawt ʻAbd Allāh ibn Qays? البداية: "بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم. باب الخروج في التجارة، وقول الله تعالى 'فانتشروا في الأرض، وابتغوا من فضل الله'. حدثنا محمد بن سلام، أخبرنا مخلد بن يزيد، قال، أنبأنا ابن جريج، قال، [أخبرني عطاء عن عبيد] بن عمير أنّ أبا موسى الأشعري استأذن عني عمر بن الخطاب، رضي الله عنه، فلم يؤذن له، وكأنه كان مشغولًا، فرجع أبو موسى، ففرغ عمر، رضي الله عنه، فقال: ألم أسمع صوت عبد الله بن قيس؟ ائذنوا له. قيل: قد رجع. فدعاه، فقال: كنا نؤمر بذلك. فقال: تأتيني على ذلك بالبينة ..."

الخاتمة: "وهذا آخر الجزء التاسع من تجزئة ثلاثين من الجامع الصحيح لأبي عبد الله محمد بن إسماعيل البخاري، رحمه الله تعالى ورضي عنه. ويتلوه أول الجزء العاشر، باب المزارعة بالشطر ونحوه. والحمد لله وحده، وصلى الله وسلم على من لا نبي بعده."
Translation of the colophon: "This is the end of part nine of thirty parts, of al-Jāmiʻ al-ṣaḥīḥ, of Abū ʻAbd Allāh Muḥammad ibn Ismāʻīl al-Bukhārī, may God have mercy upon him and be pleased with him. It will be followed by the beginning of part ten, titled 'Bāb al-Muzāraʻah bi-al-shaṭr wa-naḥwuhu'. Praise be to God alone. May God pray on the Seal of the Prophets [Prophet Muḥammad]."

Summary
al-Jāmiʻ al-ṣaḥīḥ, also called Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, the most authoritative collection of Ḥadīths according to the Sunnī tradition, by Muḥammad ibn Ismāʻīl al-al-Bukhārī (810-870), a celebrated Ḥadīth scholar and historian, born in Bukhārá (Bukhoro, Uzbekistan) and traveled extensively, collecting more than six-hundred-thousand Ḥadīths, of which he selected the most reliable. The present manuscript is part nine of thirty parts. Name of copyist and place and date of copying not mentioned, probably from the 18th century.
