Wa-ashhadu an lā ilāh illā Allāh al-wāḥid al-akbar, wa-ashhadu anna Muḥammadan Rasūl Allāh, al-ḥabīb al-afkhar, ʻalayhi min al-ṣalāh wa-al-salām al-aʻṭar. Ammā baʻd, fa-hādhā 'al-Muʻjam al-wajīz min Aḥādīth al-Rasūl al-ʻAzīz' iltaqaṭtuhu min akmām al-anwār wa-anwār al-azʹhār lil-ittiʻāẓ wa-al-ihtidāʼ wa-al-istirshād wa-al-iqtidāʼ, fa-inna khayr al-hady hadyu Muḥammad ..."
البداية: "بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم. الحمد لله حقّ حمده، وكما ينبغي لكمال كبريائه ومجده، والصلاة والسلام على رسوله وعبده وجميع من أرسل من عنده، الناطقين بجواهر الدرر، والمرسلين بأنوار الغرر، وعلى آل المفاخر وأصحاب المشاعر، وعلى كل أول وآخر، وباطن وظاهر. وأشهد أن لا إله إلّا الله الواحد الأكبر، وأشهد أن محمدًا رسول الله، الحبيب الأفخر، عليه من الصلاة والسلام الأعطر. أما بعد، فهذا 'لمعجم الوجيز من أحاديث الرسول العزيز' التقطته من أكمام الأنوار وأنوار الأزهار للاتعاظ والاهتداء والاسترشاد والاقتداء، فإن خير الهدي هدي محمد ..."

"al-Muʻjam al-wajīz min Aḥādīth al-Rasūl al-ʻAzīz" (Concise dictionary from the Ḥadīths of the Esteemed Messenger), a collection of "Aḥādīth" (sayings of the Prophet Muhammad), selected and arranged alphabetically by ʻAbd Allāh ibn Ibrāhīm al-Mīrghanī (died 1792 or 1793), a Ḥanafī scholar and ṣūfī, from Mecca, nicknamed "al-Maḥjūb" (the veiled, hidden, or concealed one), who moved with his family to al-Ṭāʼif. Name of copyist and place and date of copying not mentioned, probably from the 18th century.
