Translation of the colophon: "The copy of this blessed part was completed twenty-six days having passed from the month of Dhū al-Qaʻdah, of the year 1274 of the Hijrah of Him to whom belongs glory and honor [8 July 1858], by the hand of its copyist, the poor to God Almighty, al-Dusūqī al-Zaghlūl ibn Ibrāhīm al-Zaghlūl al-Ṣafatī baladan wa-al-Shāfiʻī madhhaban wa-al-Khalwatī ṭarīqatan, may God forgive him, his parents, and Muslim men and women, the living among them and the dead, for He is the All Hearing One, the close at hand, and He who answers invocations, specially he who finds a fault and corrects it and invokes forgiveness on my behalf. O God! Forgive us and have mercy upon us, by Your compassion, O You who is the Most Merciful of all merciful. Amen. May God pray on our Master Muḥammad and on his family and companions and grant them peace. O you who reads this script, looking at it by the eyes // Do not forget, by God, its writer, rather remember him. Offer on his behalf to God a pure invocation // that might benefit him in the adversities of time."
