Incipit: The beginning is missing; text starts with part of the letter Mīm, as follows: "... Buraydah T N wa-al-Ḍiyāʼ ʻan Zayd ibn Arqam. Ḥ. Man kuntu walīyahu fa-ʻalayya walīyahu. Ḥm T K. ʻAn Buraydah Ḥ. Man labisa al-ḥarīr fī al-dunyā lam yalbashu fī al-ākhirah. Ḥm Q N H. ʻAn Anas. Man labisa thawb shuhrah aʻraḍa Allāh ʻanhu ḥattá yaḍaʻahu. Matá waḍaʻahu. H wa-al-Ḍiyāʼ ʻan Abī Dharr. Man labisa thawba shuhrah albasahu Allāh Yawm al-Qiyāmah thawban mithlahu thumma talhabu fīhi al-nār. D H ʻan Ibn ʻUmar. البداية مفقودة؛ يبدأ النص بجزء من حرف الميم، كما يلي: "... بريدة ت ن والضياء عن زيد بن أرقم. ح. من كنت وليّه فعليّ وليّه. حم ت ك. عن بريدة ح. من لبس الحرير في الدنيا لم يلبسه في الآخرة. حم ق ن ه. عن أنس. من لبس ثوب شهرة أعرض الله عنه حتى يضعه. متى وضعه. ه والضياء عن أبي ذرّ. من لبس ثوب شهرة ألبسه الله يوم القيامة ثوبًا مثله ثم تلهب فيه النار. د ه عن ابن عمر. من لبس الحرير في الدنيا ألبسه الله يوم القيامة ثوبًا من نار. حم عن جويرية ح. من لطم مملوكه، أو، ضربه، فكفّارته أن يعتقه حم ..."

Text ends with: "... al-yawm al-mawʻūd Yawm al-Qiyāmah, wa-al-yawm al-mashhūd Yawm ʻArafah, wa-al-shāhid yawm al-Jumʻah, wa-mā ṭalaʻat al-Shams wa-lā gharabat ʻalá yawm afḍal minhu, fīhi sāʻah lā yuwāfiquhā ʻabdun Muslim yadʻū Allāh bi-khayr illā istajāba Allāh la-hu, wa-lā yastaʻīdhu min shayʼ illā aʻādhahu Allāh minhu. T Hq ʻan Abī Hurayrah."

ينتهي النص بـِ: "... اليوم الموعود يوم القيامة، واليوم المشهود يوم عرفة، والشاهد يوم الجمعة، وما طلعت الشمس ولا غربت على يوم أفضل منه، فيه ساعة لا يوافقها عبد مسلم يدعو الله بخير إلّا استجاب الله له، ولا يستعيذ من شيء إلّا أعاذه الله منه. ت هق عن أبي هريرة."

Colophon: "Tamma al-kitāb al-mubārak bi-ḥamd Allāh wa-ʻawnih. Qāla muʼallifuhu, al-Shaykh al-Imām al-ʻAllāmah, khātim al-muḥaddithīn, walī Allāh taʻālá, al-Shaykh Jalāl al-Dīn ʻAbd al-Raḥmān al-Suyūṭī al-Shāfiʻī, taghammadahu Allāh taʻālá bi-raḥmatih, wa-askanahu fasīḥ Jannatih: Farghtu minhu yawm al-Ithnayn, thāmin ʻashar [probably thāmin ʻishrīn] Rabīʻ al-Awwal, sanat sabʻ wa-tisʻimiʼah. Wa-ṣallá Allāh ʻalá Sayyidinā Muḥammad wa-ʻalá ālihi wa-ṣaḥbihi wa-sallam. Āmīn.". On the right side of the colophon, the copyist wrote: "Wulida al-muʼallif, raḥimahu Allāh taʻālá, sanat 849, wa-māta, raḥimahu Allāh, sanat 911."

الخاتمة: "تم الكتاب المبارك بحمد الله وعونه. قال مؤلفه، الشيخ الإمام العلامة، خاتم المحدّثين، وليّ الله تعالى، الشيخ جلال الدين عبد الرحمن السيوطي الشافعي، تغمّده الله تعالى برحمته، وأسكنه فسيح جنّته: فرغت منه يوم الاثنين، ثامن عشر [لعله ثامن عشرين] ربيع الأول، سنة سبع وتسعمائة. وصلى الله على سيدنا محمد وعلى آله وصحبه وسلم. آمين.". وكتب الناسخ على يمين الخاتمة: "ولد المؤلف، رحمه الله تعالى، سنة 849، ومات، رحمه الله، سنة 911."

Translation of the colophon: "The blessed book was completed by the praise of God and His help. Its author, al-Shaykh, the learned Imām, seal of the Ḥadīth scholars, friend of God Almighty, al-Shaykh Jalāl al-Dīn ʻAbd al-Raḥmān al-Suyūṭī al-Shāfiʻī, may God Almighty encompass him with His mercy, and make him dwell in His spacious Paradise, said: I completed it on Monday, the eighteenth [probably the twenty-eighth] of Rabīʻ al-Awwal, of the year 907 [of the Hijrah = 21 October 1501]. May God pray on Our Master Muḥammad, his family, and his companions, and grant them peace. Amen." On the right side of the colophon, the copyist wrote: "The author, may God Almighty have mercy upon him, was born in the year 849 [of the Hijrah = 1445/1446], and died, may God have mercy upon him, in the year 911 [of the Hijrah = 1505/1506]."
