The treatise ends with: "... Qad tamma mā rumnā min al-Maqṣūdi // fa-iʻdhir ḥadītha al-sinni yā dhā al-jūdi. Wa-aḥmadu Allāha muṣalliyan ʻalá // Muḥammadin wa-ālihi wa-man talá."
تنتهي الأرجوزة كما يأتي: "... قد تمّ ما رمنا من المقصود // فاعذر حديث السن يا ذا الجود. وأحمد الله مصلّيًا على // محمد وآله ومن تلى."
Colophon: "Tamma wa-kamula, bi-ḥamdi Allāh wa-ʻawnihi wa-ḥusn tawfīqihi, yawm al-Khamīs al-mubārak, al-sābiʻ wa-al-ʻishrīn min Dhī al-Ḥijjah al-mubārak, sanat 1288, thamāniyah wa-thamānīn wa-alf, min Hijrat man la-hu al-ʻizz wa-al-sharaf, ṣallá Allāh ʻalayhi wa-sallam."
الخاتمة: "تمّ وكمل، بحمد الله وعونه وحسن توفيقه، يوم الخميس المبارك، السابع والعشرين من ذي الحجة المبارك، سنة 1288، ثمانية وثمانين وألف، من هجرة من له العزّ والشرف، صلى الله عليه وسلم."
Translation of the colophon: "It was accomplished and completed, with the praise of God, His help, and His abundant benevolence, on blessed Thursday, the twenty-seventh of blessed Dhū-al-Ḥijjah, in the year 1288, one thousand eighty-eight, of the Hijrah [8 March 1872] of Him who possess glory and honor, may God bless Him and grant Him peace."

"Naẓm al-Maqṣūd fī ʻilm al-ṣarf", by Aḥmad ibn ʻAbd al-Raḥīm al-Ṭahṭāwī (1818-1886), an Egyptian scholar (Ziriklī 1:149; Kaḥḥālah 1:271; Brockelmann S II:727), a versification of "al-Maqṣūd fī ʻilm al-ṣarf", a treatise on "al-ṣarf, or, al-taṣrīf" (morphology), by Abū Ḥanīfah al-Nuʻmān ibn Thābit (-767 or 768), honorary title "al-Imām al-Aʻẓam" (Great Imām), founder of the Ḥanafī school of Islamic jurisprudence. Copied on Thursday, 27 of Dhū al-Ḥijjah, of the year 1288 of the Hijrah (8 March 1872). Name of the copyist and place of copying not mentioned.
