545    Joseph Street refers to himself as "master of the ship Bainbridge" in his expense book. The ship appears to have been based in Hull, and voyaged mostly on northern European trade routes.
520    Autograph manuscript account book containing records of expenses for at least eleven trading voyages undertaken by Joseph Street in the ship Bainbridge. All voyages begin at Hull, and the most frequent destination is St. Petersburg. Other ports visited include Amsterdam, Helsingor, Riga, Leghorn (Livorno), Genoa, Lisbon, and Gallipoli. The accounts list routine expenses, such as ships' wages, purchases of supplies, repairs to the ship, and taxes, duties, port fees and charges, as well as less common charges such as "elm for a drum-head."
