Summary
This survey was conducted after the accident at the nuclear power plant at Chernobyl in the Soviet Union. Respondents were asked their opinions about nuclear power, including whether they favor or oppose more nuclear power plants in the United States, whether they would favor or oppose phasing out currently operating plants, and if they consider nuclear plants in the United States to be safer than those in the Soviet Union. They were asked if the Chernobyl accident has made them more or less fearful of nuclear power and if they are worried about harmful effects of radiation from Chernobyl.Cf: http://doi.org/10.3886/ICPSR08581.v1
