Summary
Published in The Guardian on 11 June 2003. Using James Gillray's "Sphere projecting against a plane" and a reference to the Frank L. Baum's Yellow Brick Road of the Wizard of Oz series, this cartoon describes the uncomfortable relationship between the then-new Labour Prime Minister Tony Blair and Chancellor of the Excehquer Gordon Brown and their conflicting views on the question of the UK joining the single European currency, the Euro. In the background is the "Millennium Dome".
