Summary
Second in a series of "If" strips, published in The Guardian on 17 July 2018. A month before the Helsinki summit with Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump had met the North Korean leader, Kim Jong Un in Singapore, which inspired this version of a parody of Gillray's 1805 print entitled "The plumb-pudding in danger, or, State epicures taking un petit souper". Here a bare-chested Putin sits on the left opposite Kim Jong Un, both carving the orange-faced head of Trump with a toilet seat top.
