Many of the entries include information about the number of copies printed. Some of the entries are annotated with further information about the genesis or printing history of the work, including a summary of the social visit by Lady Blandford to Strawberry Hill while Walpole was confined in bed with the gout, which inspired the creation of a work titled The master of Otranto to the fairy Blandina; a dinner at Strawberry Hill with several French noblewomen, for which event several verses in French were prepared; and a note about the subsequent printing history of a work titled An account of a new method of painting.
