520    Manuscript, in a single hand, of a collection of 22 genealogies of the archbishops of Canterbury from Warham in 1504 to Manners Sutton in 1805, arranged in chronological order and including brief histories of their family names and brief biographies of the archbishops.  The genealogical notes and biographies include the subjects' noble connections; education; political activity; contributions against religious controversy; gifts made in their wills; and publications. The volume is prefaced by an introduction, with decorated initials, explaining the author's impetus for the project, in which he declares Great Britain to be "the glory of the Reformed Churches: her clergy have written more, and better than any other body of men, and not only in what relates to Theology, but in most other important subjects.  Had there not been wisdom in our governors in Chruch and State this could not have happened."
