Content Description

The collection includes pamphlets, journal articles, and newspaper and magazine clippings regarding the use and manufacture of penicillin. The collection also includes the treatment chart for Anne Miller, the first patient to receive penicillin in the United States, and correspondence regarding John Fulton's relationship with Howard Florey, who researched how to synthesize large quantities of penicillin and led the initial clinical trials of the medication.
