Biographical / Historical
Gaspar González (1968- ) is an independent scholar, journalist, and award-winning documentary filmmaker who earned his PhD in American Studies from Yale University in 1999. He directed, produced, and co-wrote A Long Way from Home: The Untold Story of Baseball's Desegregation. Matthew Frye Jacobson (1958- ), a writer and historian, is the William Robertson Coe Professor of American Studies and History at Yale University. He served as a creator, co-writer, and lead researcher for the documentary.

Access Information
The Beinecke Library is open to all Yale University students and faculty, and visiting researchers whose work requires use of its special collections.
