Pablo Echaurren (1951-)

Pablo Echaurren is an Italian artist, author, activist, and art critic. In the late 1970s, he was involved with the Movimento del '77 and the Indiani Metropolitani and published zines such as Oask?!, Abat/jour, and Wam. He also contributed drawings to the radical leftist newspaper Lotta continua. In the 1980s and 1990s, Echaurren began drawing comic strips for magazines such as Frigidaire, Linus, Tango, Comic Art, and Alter Alter. Echaurren and his wife, art historian Claudia Salaris, have collaborated on several books on the Movimento del '77. His other works include the graphic novels Caffeina d'Europa and Majakovskij, as well as the illustration for the cover of Porci con le Ali. More recently Echaurren has returned to painting and also writes about art for the Huffington Post.

Collections are processed to a variety of levels, depending on the work necessary to make them usable, their perceived research value, the availability of staff, competing priorities, and whether or not further accruals are expected. The library attempts to provide a basic level of preservation and access for all collections as they are acquired, and does more extensive processing of higher priority collections as time and resources permit.
