Abstract

The collection comprises submissions to the Yale Manuscripts and Archives' Hindsight 2020: New Haven project documenting life in the Greater New Haven area during the events of 2020 and their continuing impact.

Biographical / Historical

The Hindsight 2020: New Haven project was launched in fall 2020 by Yale Manuscripts and Archive's staff Michelle Peralta and Jennifer Coggins with the goals of engaging the community in collaborative memory work and preserving a representative record of 2020 and its ongoing effects on New Haven. Residents contributed reflections via an online platform and through postcard stations on the New Haven Green and at local public libraries. These contributions were shared on the project website through summer 2023. Submissions to the project closed in January 2022.
