Biographical / Historical Note
Eric A. Hegg (1867-1948), born Erik Jonsson, was a Swedish-American photographer active in Skagway, Alaska, and Dawson, Yukon, during the Klondike Gold Rush, 1897-1901.
Summary
Panoramic photographs of Yukon and Alaska created by Eric A. Hegg in 1899. Images include views of Skagway, Alaska, and Dawson, Yukon, as well as Summit Lake on the Kenai Peninsula, Alaska, which include a train and work camp on the White Pass & Yukon Route. Images of mining operations in Yukon include overviews of mines at El Dorado Creek, including Grand Fork, Bonanza and Gold Hill, another image shows Adams Hill at Bonanza Creek.
