The Rite was recorded in Paris in 1929 (in Jan., according to Mark Obert-Thorn, or in May or June, according to Cyr), Petrushka in London, June 27-28, 1928. This was the premiere recording of the Rite. (Stravinsky's own recording was made later that same year).
