Summary
Jean- Baptiste Clement is best known as a songwriter. In "La revanche des Communeux", he described the battles of the Commune and gave the reasons of rights for workers- recreating reality through portraits of those in poverty, the beggars to those that society has always neglected. Clement himself took an active part in the Commune and fought during the Bloody Week. Here Clement gives his thoughts, doubts, hopes, and the difficulty of establishing a proletarian government.
