Collection title devised by cataloger.
Documents in the names of the viceroys bear the royal stamp of either Charles III or Charles IV of Spain, and have autographs of various government officials issuing them on behalf of the viceroys.
Organization
Items are divided in two parts according to size, and arranged chronologically within each part.
Summary
Predominantly government documents from the Viceroys of New Spain between 1789 and 1799: Flores, Revillagigedo, Branciforte and Azanza. There also are a few local documents pertaining to Mexico City. Part 1 includes two ecclesiastical documents from the Archbishop Alonso Nuñez de Haro y Peralta, dated 8 Jan. 1790 and 16 Feb. 1792.
