Summary
Papers consist of autograph manuscript notebooks, clippings, correspondence, and printed and other materials relating to Giraud's research on French and Parisian slang. Thirty notebooks (boxes 1-3), arranged numerically, contain entries on terms and expressions, with definitions, examples of use, and bibliographic and indexical information. With additional, loose autograph manuscript entries (box 4) and other material (box 5), including one heavily-annotated printed version of L'Argot tel qu'on le parle (Paris: Jacques Grancher, 1981), correspondence with Jean Bruel, and a corrected draft, autograph manuscript, and printed version of a travel guide to Paris.
