The each stamp has a portion of the phrase: L'artiste n'a pas le droit de disposer inutilement du temps de son auditeur.
The postcard has an image of a rubber stamp spinner holding 7 rubber stamps; underneath the image the phrase "L'artiste n'a pas le droit de disposer inutilement du temps de son auditeur" is stamped. The text on the back of postcard begins: A performance sculpture (Australian version) Simon Cutts, Hayman Theatre.
"There were six copies of rubber stamps in their holder, some of them in a specially made wooden box, stamped on the lid. Whilst you might say it's a multiple, it was really a machine for its owner to produce their own cards, a kind of ephemera machine. The card stock were printed with the image of the machine and then stamped"--Cutts, Simon. Some forms of availability (New York: Granary Books, 2007), page 117.
